Captain Robert Thomas Elliott’s grave in Kingston cemetery, Portsmouth.

 Inscription reads.

Sacred to the memory of Capt Robert Thomas Elliott Late of the 82nd and formerly of the 45th Regt. Who died August 19th 1865 Aged 78 years

He served during the whole of the Peninsular Campaign and was present at the battle of Roleia, Talavera,

Busaco, Cuidad Rodrigo, Fort Picereno, Nivelle, Pyrenees, Salamanca, Vittoria, Pampeluna and others and at the Storming of Badajoz

for these services He received a medal with eleven bars.
